Introducing Museum: Pictura, a new standalone opus in the Museum range!

Museum: Pictura is a set collection game for 2-4 players by Olivier Melison and Eric Dubus, in which you take on the role of an aspiring curator in an art museum. Your goal is to create collections of some of History’s most iconic works of art.

Museum: Pictura brings exciting new mechanics and strategies to the table, while maintaining a strong family connection to its predecessor. The basic style and premise of the game remain set collection and Museum curation, but the historical artefacts from the original game have been replaced with classic art, from the Renaissance period all the way to Impressionism.
This change of theme is reflected in Museum: Pictura’s mechanics. You will have to deal with the changing trends of the art world, acquiring and exhibiting Paintings depending on what is currently in highest demand. As your Collections grow, you will be able to open them briefly to the public with a Temporary Exhibition, which allows you to immediately score that Collection’s value and obtain special bonuses for the rest of the game. But beware, your visitors will quickly grow tired of seeing the same types of Collection again and again, so timing your exhibitions correctly is essential!

With a wealth of ways to score points and plenty of player interaction, Museum: Pictura’s fresh mechanics bring a fascinating twist to the original game, that is sure to delight veteran curators and new players alike!

Set in the roaring 20’s, the game is gorgeously illustrated in art deco style byLoïc Muzy, while the 180 paintings featured in the game have been individually brought to life by Ekaterina Varlamov. Both artists worked on the original game.

Grail Game launches MEDICI : THE DICE GAME

What is Medici: The Dice Game?

Medici: The Dice Game is the third game in the Medici family of games, all designed by the world’s best known tabletop designer, Dr Reiner Knizia, and illustrated by the stunning Vincent Dutrait! This new design from Reiner Knizia shares the setting and feel of his classic Medici board game, but using dice! A stand-alone sister game to his previous titles (Medici and Medici: The Card Game), the new dice game uses similar ideas, but is powered by dice-rolling mechanisms. This means players will have to roll with the whims of fate as they face a never before seen challenge in the Medici line!

Roll on the Mediterranean!

Fast to learn and simple to play, Medici: The Dice Game is a dice-selecting, roll-and-write game. Over the course of three rounds, 2-4 players will fill their ships with the goods presented at the wharf. On a turn, players will roll dice, to randomize which goods will be available and for what value. Then, players will select goods of different values to fill their shipby taking dice. They will earn money at the end of each round for having the most valued loads, as well as for collecting majorities of the different goods.

Titan from Holy Grail Games is coming on Kickstarter in September

Titan, a unique network-building and resource management Eurogame with aspectacular 3D board, launches on Kickstarter on Tuesday September 17th!

In this expert Eurogame created by first-time French designer Matthieu Podevin and illustrated by Loïc Muzy, players take on the role of employees of the Stardrill Corporation, sent to strip Titan of its resources.

To do so, they will deploy mining rigs into the layers of the moon’s gigantic crater, represented by the 3D board. These rigs are then linked together with pipes to create an extraction network. Each time a new rig is added to a network, a resource is extracted into the player’s cargo hold! Some resources can be used to gain points during the game while others only score at the end.

As each player’s hold space is finite, meticulous timing and space management are the key to success.

With a wealth of different strategies to explore and lots of player interaction, Titan is a challenging game for 1-5 players. You can find out more about the game and how it is played on the Holy Grail Games website.

Holy Grail Games’ 6th Kickstarter is due to be our most ambitious yet! Titan’s spectacular 3D board adds an interesting spatial element to an already fascinating puzzle. The game’s design concept is also very advanced : as well as a fully-realized 3D-printed prototype, the board concept has been tested and validated by our production partners.
